Corporate Identity

The Army Museum in Delft covers the entire military history of the Netherlands. In 2003, the Army Museum was given the status of State Museum. This fact, combined with its ambition to be more public-oriented, gave the Army Museum the impetus for the development of a more suitable identity. Fabrique was asked to develop a new corporate image, a key element of which was emphasising the contemporary nature of the museum. Fabrique developed a logo in which a V shape refers to the heraldic symbols for ranks. At the same time, the V can be seen as referring to “Freedom” (“Vrijheid” in Dutch). The colour scheme in various patterns of green is a reference to the military, but thanks to the bright spot colour it is nevertheless unique. Fabrique is designing virtually all the publicity material for the Army Museum. For example, for the exhibition “Masterpiece, Dutch weapons from the Golden Age,” Fabrique designed posters, invitations and the graphic elements of the exhibition.
