Water transport

In Africa, most children have to walk for hours every day just to get clean drinking water for their families. They have no time left to play. And sometimes, old, used tires are the only things they have to play with. The Life Tire uses these tires as both a toy AND a method of transportation. The children fill the tires with water and just roll them home, quickly and easily, playing along the way. While this is happening, the nanofilter balls inside the tire remove any parasites and other contamination from the water.

WINNER STATEMENT

We are very happy that we have been awarded this special prize. Life Tire is a solution to water resource supply which is one of the most serious problems arising in the Third World. Water, which is directly related to life, is a very difficult resource to obtain in the Third World where people suffer from drought and famine. We have invested much of our time in research to solve this problem. We considered their culture, natural environment, and the problems that might arise if our product was to be used there. We have worked cheerfully that this product could be of help to them; not temporarily but continuously. As students studying design, we hope that our product could not just help but save the lives those dying. We would like to share this honor with everyone who is in need and we are very grateful towards those who have been helping us all the time. Thank you very much once again.
