Exhibition

The spatial installation underscored the "mythic" image of Lamborghini: Visitors accessed the exhibition space by descending through a specially constructed shaft, their eyes initially having to adjust to the almost complete darkness. At the center of the room, a "Murciélago" was mounted on a bed of 80 cm steel spikes. Dark green light brought out the contours. The remaining vehicles - all black - were arranged on L-shaped pedestals, each of which, facing the middle of the room, had a 1.80 m high wall with narrow vertical openings. Thus the automobiles could only be observed by walking around the periphery. From the center they were merely anticipated through the slits. Here too the illumination was dark green: in the case of the Miura, a green band scanned the surface. Films were projected onto the walls at a height of four meters, which at an extreme magnification showed the drawing process of the designer Luc Donckerwolke. A clay model and an engine block completed the exhibit.
