Osaka Peace Center

Museum exhibition

Near the end of World War II, Osaka was razed by air raids, killing around 15,000 people. Our main aim was to discuss the thorny topic of peace in a way that would create a greater emotional impact than conventional photos and text. The items, information and photos were carefully arranged, and installations were used to depict scenes from the war. The exhibition ends with a workshop zone to raise awareness of current issues such as war, conflicts and environmental problems. Children thus leave not only with an awareness of the horrors of war but with the skills to understand facts, reflect on the past and think about the future.
