Pink Bench

Urban architecture

The light concept was developed and realized for buildings and parts of buildings which were in the dark up to now. The concept was developed to raise a new awareness of a neglected urban space. Location: Martinistraße 26, 28195 Bremen, headquarters of a health insurance (between “Schlachte” and the river “Weser”) Bench: zinc/wood lacquered The Pink Bench is a serpentine 27 meter long function sculpture: the reverse side can be used as bicycle parking. The form was developed out of the human spinal column. The curved line management serves as a visual highlight of a public square.
