Community-driven cocreate process for veterans

Philips

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs provides healthcare to nearly nine million war veterans, one-third of whom live in rural areas. Providing care to rural veterans presents real delivery challenges. This project, entitled Advancing Telehealth through Local Access Stations (ATLAS), brings care to veterans where and when they need it most. This will allow veterans to be examined at their local post through virtual appointments with medical professionals across the nation, saving them travel time and expenses.

iF Gold Statement

Project ATLAS is a cooperation between Philips and the US Department of Veterans Affairs to provide healthcare to nearly three million people who live in rural areas, far from existing health care providers. In close cooperation with veterans, a stringent service design process using experience prototypes led to this great service design solution.
