Ratoeira Bench

Bench

Like the object that inspired this design, a mousetrap, the seat locking is obtained by the steel tube feet that works as a lever at the wood. Looking for visual lightness, we rounded the solid wood seat edge, which also adds contemporarity. The most important thing to this project is the simplicity of production and assembling. The user only has to connect a carved wood plank with the two steel feet in order to have a bench. The steel feet are made of a pair of curved welded tubes, working as a lever. Another important point is that the bench can be dismounted into three elements and put inside a thin box, which makes its transport easier and cheaper.
