Wireless RF headphone

Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KG

The wireless headphone system RS 130 with surround sound stands out by the innovative idea of a transmitter with integrated load handle. Headphone and transmitter form a compact unit, which solves charging and storing the headphone in an elegant way. The characteristic of the headphone is the angled position of the earpiece and the very complex shape of the headband, which could only be fulfilled and controlled by CAID. The entire design up to the final realization was generated constantly in a CAD environment, which also covered the ergonomic adjustment based on several 3D-models of the human head. The angled rotation axis and the elliptical shape of the earpieces as well as the asymmetric mounting of the forks consider the anatomy of the human ear and ensure an optimal adjustment to the individual wearing situation.
