Sounds of Silence
Public exhibition design
Museum für KommunikationThe design had to create a fertile environment for treating the subject of silence. We skipped all objects and constructed an audio landscape with a clear and calm interior design as backdrop equipped with hidden technology. The technology locates the visitor in the room and plays a corresponding sound on the headset. One step forward and the soundscape changes. A twist of the head and the visitor can locate the source of a sound (3D soundscape). This results in a very intuitive listening experience while the technology in the background is highly complex. Interior design and the lack of objects facilitate this smooth approach.
