Why has the job interview process remained unchanged for decades? Job ads are published, people submit CVs, and a few candidates are interviewed. Are employers missing the best candidates? With the new digital Speed Interview Service – from the Swedish Public Employment Services – employers can now conduct short structured pre-interview video meet-ups remotely. Up to ten meetings can be held in an hour. Candidates get tips on interviewing and employers get a better idea of the person behind the CV. The service is being used by everything from start-ups to multinational companies and being trialed by professional and public employment agencies throughout Europe.
