Gas hob
Chinese food culture relies heavily on stir-frying over a high flame while largely ignoring the health risks caused by super-heated oils. This gas hob detects oil temperature, maintaining an ideal range of 160-220°C and warning the user when the oil temperature exceeds 220°C. A further safety feature is an automatic shut off of the gas source accompanied by an alarm when a pot boils dry.
