Tegalit Aerlox - a new generation of roof tiles

Ebener Dachstein

Roof tile roofs tend to green up, especially in the overlap (headlap) area. The reason for this is the capillary moisture inflow in this area and the porosity of the standard roof tile. With Aerlox technology, a special concrete is used, here microsilica is used, which makes the roof tile body more dense. In addition, this area is additionally hydrophobic, which prevents water absorption. Due to the new design with the shadow joint at the leading edge (this acts as a drip edge), moisture can no longer be absorbed into the height overlay. The area remains dry and the basis for greening is largely eliminated.
