Human-machine-interface

Touch based HMI for packaging and processing machines. One uniform control concept and software design for 12 technologies, 36 machine types and 3 monitor sizes. Principles: focusing the low-level user, functions available depending on the user level, linear illustration of all machines, machine module functions represented by pictograms, customization through widgets, context-sensitive assistance system, animated visuals for parameter input, efficiency through Multi-Touch, information structuring via color concept, worldwide uniform implementation based on “online-dokuwiki styleguide”, “use case library”.

iF Gold Statement

The touch-based HMI for packaging and processing machines is very complex. Here the operating concept and software design were extremely well thought out and implemented. Even though One HMI is defined by its complexity, all design elements are clearly and intuitively arranged on the screen. Complex processes were considered down to the details: remarkable.
