The Bizerba TTI system label OnVu functions based on a printing ink developed by Ciba, which changes color when activated by light from a transparent state to blue. As time goes by, this process is reversed. The higher the ambient temperature, the quicker the reverse coloring from blue to transparent takes place. In practice, this means that if the ideal temperature or number of predefined shelf-life days is exceeded, the color of the TTI system label changes from fresh to still suitable for consumption to no longer consumable. It enables reliable control of the cooling chain of the product at a glance.
