Due to environmental regulations, the duty-free store at the Hyundai Department Store has an abundance of disposable plastic shopping bags stored in its warehouse, awaiting disposal. Hyundai Department Store has conducted research to explore creative ways to repurpose these surplus plastic shopping bags. The focus has been on the material aesthetics and functionality of recycled plastic materials, with the hope that it highlights without showcasing new forms and expresses homage to the work of a renowned artist . Approximately 4,000 plastic bags are utilized in the production of a single chair.
