WOOD FLOOR UNIT 3.2
Raised floor systems
MITSUBISHI ESTATE CO., LTD.
“WOOD FLOOR UNIT 3.2” takes its name from proven sustainability performance—each 100 sq m can sequester about 3.2 tons of carbon. Developed in collaboration with six companies, the system redefines how natural wood functions in modern architecture. It transforms domestic cedar—long restricted by fire regulations in commercial and public facilities—into a safe, comfortable, modular raised-floor system. The initiative advances environmental responsibility while promoting sustainable forest use and expanding wood’s role in architecture and interior design.
