YOGO

Kitchen appliance

YOGO is a converter of kitchen oil smoke using the principle of saponification. Chinese people like to cook with a lot of oil, so cleaning and disposing of waste oil produced by the cooker hood is a problem in many families. Instead of discharging waste oil into a sewer after cooling, YOGO applies the principle of converting oil into soap, collecting cooled waste oil first. After simple processing, YOGO produces liquid soap that can be used to clean kitchenware. Besides, YOGO's surface is made of a piano painting material which can be cleaned easily. This product gives traditional kitchen waste a new value of sustainable utilization.

JURY STATEMENT

It's a very clever use of an age-old soap making technique. Users of the machine that handles waste worry most about what to do with excess oil, how to turn it into something usable, and bringing other environmental concepts to life.

WINNER STATEMENT

We feel very honored to have won the iF DESIGN TALENT AWARD. We will continue to learn and think. Thanks.
