Yurinoki Nursery School
Nursery School
Social Welfare Corporation Meiseikai
This small nursery school was planned in the suburbs of Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. The facility was designed to be like an "azumaya in the city", incorporating the surrounding environment. The azumaya is a place where people can take a break or shelter from the rain in an open environment such as a park, similar to a pavilion in Europe. We thought that one of the best solutions for children in this area would be to gather in the local azumaya and live in a safe and secure environment.
