Zeittunnel Wülfrath

Logo, brochure, flyer, postcard, design guide

Within the scope of the European EUROGA 2002plus project 400 million years of history of earth were shown in the Wülfrath Zeittunnel. The graphic arts design originated from interplay between architecture, science and local occurrences. The graphic idea is based on a colour conception which analyzes the vegetative and climatic aspects of the geological eras. Thus eight colour worlds were created. They are reflected in the arched tunnel cover and are used in the museum communication. The graphic draft shows another, merry aspect of the geological eras. New perspectives play with known patterns from home-museums or palaeontological exhibits. In the creation draft all communicative devices were considered from the start of the project. A design guide documents all ideas and is at the same time a reference book for all other media.
