iF DESIGN MARATHON 2022
Day 15: Taiwan Design Research Institute (TDRI)

25 October 2022: Taipei, Taiwan

How TDRI leads design and innovation in Taiwan

Design is not detached from its environment, its users and its benefits. Seldom is this more vividly demonstrated than in mega cities, where lighthouse projects have great relevance. Combining innovative design power with the aspiration to incorporate national design principles, extraordinary projects have emerged in Taipei that are taking to the track for the very first time in the iF Design Marathon, demonstrating their impressive impact on the city and society.

Welcome to insights into brilliant Taiwanese design!

These years, TDRI worked on many innovative projects with many government officials from center to local ones, hoping to introduce design to people's daily life.

In the video down below, you can see several highlight cases of TDRI's cooperation with government departments and private industries to share with the public, including court reform, public health center redesign, and traditional industry innovation, etc.

At the same time, these cases also show the design trends in Taiwan in the past two years.
