Cafe & Bar DANDELION CHOCOLATE KYOTO

Cafe

The project is located in a narrow street in the historic neighborhood of Ichinenzaka in Kyoto. The area has an old-world ambiance, and the cafe building has been designated as an official cultural landmark by the city of Kyoto. The renovation recreates the atmosphere of traditional Kyoto and its architecture but also incorporates the casual, open space from the original Dandelion Chocolate in San Francisco. The design is a modern adaptation of classical Japanese architectural design that will hopefully give this one-hundred-year-old building a new lease on life and another hundred years of activity.
