The goal of the Citizen Relationship Public System is to bring social innovation to the people of Ceará, Brazil, through a digital tool which includes the Ombudsman, Access to Information and Transparency services of Ceará State. The tools were designed and developed in a citizen-centered way. Citizen-friendly interfaces make it easier for the citizens to interact with the government, either to claim a right or to monitor public investments. The design methods allowed this system to go far beyond the law: it matches the needs of citizens concerning transparency, accountability, and participation in governments.
