Food Shaping Kyoto

Exhibition space

In the exhibition “Food Shaping Kyoto” the relationship between the city and food production is conveyed through 6 key words that link urban culture and food production, water, markets, distribution, and urban morphology. The elements of the exhibition were created and arranged around the theme of circles, using multiple media to depict the diverse and circular relationship between the city and food. The large tower at the center of the exhibition space presents a number of objects obtained from previous research in an equivalent manner. In the projection room, images of Kyoto's culinary culture were projected in a 360-degree video format, giving visitors a sense of immersion in these places.
