Gaggenau Restaurant 1683 LA

Pop-up restaurant

Gaggenau Hausgeräte GmbH

Restaurant 1683, located in Los Angeles, California, is one of a series of Gaggenau pop-up events. At the LA location, the guests arrived on the 11th floor where they were greeted by a huge cuckoo clock flanked by three ladies. The perimeter of the space presented an exhibition tracing Gaggenau's company history. The center stage was a wintry wonderland, complete with massive trees. Gaggenau created a snowy forest flooded with moonlight, casting complex patterns on the floor. The space was an immersive epicurean experience that brought the mystic atmosphere of Germany's Black Forest to life. The guests took their seats at kitchen stations, which borrowed design elements from traditional timber-frame houses, and watched while the pop-up restaurant chefs prepared the food.
