Hito to Ki to Hitotoki
Sake bottle
Imayotsukasa Sake Brewery Co. Ltd.
The tradition of brewing sake in wooden barrels has long been a key part of Japanese sake culture. Imayo Tsukasa Sake Brewery was determined to maintain this traditional brewing art for the next 100 years so they commissioned craftsmen to build new wooden barrels. The project also involved the brewery's own employees, who helped build the giant wooden vessels. The sake brewed in the newly built barrels has been named “Hito to Ki to Hitotoki,” a Japanese word meaning “human, wood and moment.” This bottle design invites the user to touch and feel the product rather than just read and understand the information on a label.
