The concept of the salon - a place where people who don’t know each other sit around a large table and interact - is employed here in restaurant design, using a "community table" for a new way of dining. The lighting and interior design harks back to the 18th century, facilitating the exchange between people and creating a salon-like atmosphere. The space began as an old house that has weathered the storm, and the new construction retains the memory of the original space, adding possibilities to an old building. Not just a restaurants, Salon is also a space where people can interact with the arts.
